Camping Alpes-de-Haute-Provence

Delightful campsite in a wonderful location. The owners Vassili and Aurelie could not have been more accommodating. We arrived on a super hot busy Sunday and were allocated a very open pitch with absolutely no shade. We would not have been able to stay in this pitch as we were travelling with dogs. I would normally have requested a shaded pitch but had not on this occasion. Vassili was so helpful and even though they were fully booked, he moved some bookings around to give us a lovely shaded pitch- one of very few I may add. This meant that we were able to enjoy our stay and our dogs did too. Great concept with food trucks but would have been helpful to note on their website that no food or bread ordering available on Sunday. We luckily had an emergency meal in the van but breakfast was a bit sparse as its quite a hot hilly trek into the town which we didn't fancy. We took full advantage of the the next two nights with Indonesian food and burgers. Lovely laid back vibe thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Sisteron is een leuk plaatsje, met een citadel op de berg. Zaterdag is er een leuke markt met lokale producten. Leuke tourtjes te maken in de omgeving, mooie streek, leuke dorpjes, bergen en gorges.

Une région magnifique, c'est ma région de coeur, j'y viens chaque année depuis très longtemps. Les paysages sont magnifiques en toutes saisons et l'accueil est simple et authentique partout sur le plateau de Valensole.
